This could easily be the most important piece of "mutant" art from the 90's - which would be like saying "the best song of the Beatles in the 60's". Chapeau, chapeau, chapeau.

You are right. They can pretend that old Logan is dying in any possible strange way, or any possible distant time, but Days of a Future Past was his Last Stand - period. If you love the character, his end is there. This piece really conveys the atmosphere and mood of the original story, the execution is wonderful. I especially appreciated the background. Great work.

You recognize a good theme when it spawns fruits like this, very similar but definitely different from the original idea. Sam Kieth is a genius - but you need two of them to produce such a gem. Money is required, but not enough to get to this level. Congrats.

Yes, Davis still on top of his game, and he keeps on delivering great work - but I honestly believe that the energy of his earlier efforts (I am talking especially about the first run on Excalibur) has been somehow lost. The work you have here is a good example: this one is magical, not just good.

One of the finest hours of Chris Bachalo. In my opinion, Vertigo's themes really suited him, much better than superhero stuff. And the dead detectives are such a wonderful subject, the funniest corpse couple ever. Great stuff.

Pure essence of Batmaness. "Beware... forever" is one of the best lines I could imagine for the character. This really beats everything else. Please accept my deepest congratluations, and my biggest envy.

After almost twenty years, Jones is still able to convey with his Sandman commisions exactly the same emotions and feelings that made his contributions to the original series some of the finest and most beloved moments. This work is fantastic, and looks like it came out of a time machine, not a mailbox. Congrats.

This vaguely zombie Hellboy interpretation is one of the most convincing alternative takes on the character I have ever seen. If I was Mignola I would mail a contract to Serrao this very moment. Great piece from the artist, and great choice from the commision!

Surprising, beautiful page. You can tell Byrne loved his Superman work by the incredible amount of detail and effort he was putting in every single panel. If he was only chasing deadlines, he would have waived the rain weather - but it was just too perfect for a battle with the Spectre, so it has to be done. Looking at the original art I cannot avoid to agree. Three great panels, really.

Happy with good reason, I would say! Man of Steel was one of the finest hour of Byrne art. I am under the impression that this period of Byrne production is underappreciated right now. For me it's even better than Fantastic Four: it's obvious that the artist felt the highest commitment towards the character. The attention and the detail present in this quiet, classic page, is a clear proof of it.

This sketch is a clear proof of Mr. Mignola talent. The guy is able to convey the spirit of a character with just a couple of lines. The Spectre would be perfect material for a HB team up!
