I must admit that I am extremely jealous! I remember seeing this page listed on ebay with no bids and a starting bid at a price that most people would be uncomfortable bidding at. I wanted to bid, but thought to wait the last minute to place a bid, and as time went on, it was already too late. Congratulations on acquiring a most excellent piece!

Benno!!! Glad you finally posted this! I remember the story of how you acquired this, on Tim's Message Board, the good ole' days when we were one big group! I rememeber the story goes that Tim was looking for a Jack Davis Frankenstein life-size poster, and was offering Free Sketches For Life as the incentive. You went and got the Jack Davis Frankenstein poster, and had Jack Davis himself sign it, and you were kind not to have Tim commit to the 'Free-Sketches-For-Life' deal, and instead asked Tim to draw you a nice Bats/Cats commission instead. I remember this was my favorite Tim Sale piece, and again, glad you finally put it up! I also remember you saying the frame fell off the wall after you got it framed. A lot of great times and fun conversations went with this piece. Good times! Congrats Benno!

Thanks. It was done as a commission quality piece for a Fundraiser Charity Auction. All the proceeds went to Child's Play (http://www.childsplaycharity.org). This piece was the highest selling item at the auction.
