Evan, this piece is much smaller than it appears on screen with only a 7" x 9" image area. Matania worked fairly small but in layers of detail. It's effect is almost photographic in actual size. I could cite a dozen sterile technical aspects Booth employed in glorious harmony to create this work, but their cumulative effect is so much more visceral. Magnificent!.....simply Magnificent!

A master of every medium he worked in, he elevated comics to fine art like no other artist. The man and his powerful work will be sorely missed.
