Daredevil #165 p. 8 by Miller and Janson Owner: Timothy Finney Comment posted on 5/3/2015 Forgive my lateness commenting on this awesome piece. I too have been a huge fan of Miller's work on this title. And this is a fine example of it. Daredevil in battle. That, and the arms of Octopus to boot. This rocks! |

Kirby / Smith - Captain America Bicentennial Treasury - p6 BWS Owner: Mark Levy Comment posted on 4/19/2015 This page, along with the next two, have always remained my favorite sequence from this great story. With such a recent decline in American patriotism, this (these) page(s) are even more prolific & powerful now than ever before. Most will say Cap's greatest arch- nemeses has always been The Red Skull. But I think "Adolph' will always be The Super Soldier's greatest and worst of foes. Either way, "BRAVO"! |

Pollard / Sinnott FF 198 Dr. Doom et al Owner: Mark Levy Comment posted on 4/19/2015 Fantastic score, Mark. This whole page is a marvel. That lower close-up panel of Doom's face is just classic. While Pollard's pencils were great, Joltin' Joe made it even greater with those unmistakable iconic inks of his. I don't know what this cost you, but I'm certain you came out ahead on this deal. |

Marvel Treasury Edition #5 "The Hulk" Backcover Owner: Suat Tong Ng Comment posted on 4/18/2015 Today I am saddened, hearing the news of Herb Trimpe's passing. I chose this particular image, in leaving my respects, on account of this being my favorite piece ever done by the legendary artist. I too grew up with a copy of this Marvel Treasury Edition. And while John Romita Sr. gave us all a wonderful rendition of "The Hulk" on the front cover, it was Herb Trimpe's classic transformation of Bruce Banner into The Hulk, on back of this book, which left my younger eyes in endless awe. And yes, I still own my original copy of this poor worn out book to this very day. As with others such as Jack Kirby, John Buscema, and Gil Kane, I'm sad to of missed out on meeting this incredible talent. Everyone I know have told me what a good, giving, and gracious soul he was. And he always went the extra mile for his fans. Maybe we'll get to meet him in Heaven someday. Until then, God Bless him and his family. May he R.I.P. |

Doctor Doom - Triumph and Torment Owner: Daniel M Comment posted on 4/12/2015 You scored two fantastic pages out of this classic book. Although the other page, you won, is my favorite of the two, this one isn't exactly lacking. I just love how Doom shuts down his systems, putting that brash upstart in his place here. What you paid for these great pieces of art is practically nothing of what they're really worth. Congratulations on these incredible pieces of original art. I just love this story & art. You made an excellent choice. |

Amazing Spider-man 163 Cover Kingpin Owner: William B Comment posted on 3/16/2015 While I'm thrilled to have scored a sweet battle page out of this book. You certainly have obtained the jewel. I mean, come on. Kingpin VS Amazing Spider-Man cover by the one and only Jazzy John Romita? That's an act that's tough to top. This is a favorite comic of mine, growing up, and still is. I'm blown away by this. |

Amazing Spider-man #67 page 12 Romita Mysterio Owner: William B Comment posted on 3/15/2015 I wanted to leave just one more comment on this classic page. That second panel is so iconic. I've seen that image of Spider-Man on posters, glasses, and other various collectibles. That's really cool. You purchase, say a glass with that image on it and tell the cashier, "Hey, you see this image of Spider-Man? I actually own the original art that was used to make this drinking glass." The cashier simply looks back at you dumbfounded, and ill-informed with this new revelation, and replies, "Huh"? Oh, it's good to have a CAF to come back to. Thanks again for sharing this masterpiece, Bill. You're blessed. |

Superman as Roman Emperor Supermanuis Original Statue Sculpture by Luca Piergentili Owner: Matt E. Comment posted on 1/16/2015 "GREAT CAESAR'S GHOST"!!! This is just so cool. Superman as a Roman Emperor has so many possibilities. I'm not exactly sure how our own Superman would relate in this alternate reality. But one thing's for sure; a mad & evil Nero he would not be. Either way, beautiful sculpted bust from a very clever idea. |

One of my own favorites as well. Anyway, classic piece of early Harley Quinn art (*with a little "Poison" added in for good measure*). Thanks for sharing. p.s. Harley's co-creator, the amazing Paul Dini, wrote this very episode. An added bonus. |

Superman by Joe Sinnott Owner: Bob Berkheimer Comment posted on 1/4/2015 So obvious, and yet so utterly cool. We OCA fans usually think of Joltin' Joe only doing Marvel heroes. This reminds us all that the master of inks can really do anything. His Superman really knocks it out of the part. Wonderful acquisition. |

Rampaging Hulk #5 Page 38 Subby Belts the HULK Owner: Eddie S Comment posted on 10/18/2014 Very cool half splash. Some tend to forget just how powerful Namor can be. Here, the Hulk's reminded of that the hard way. Both artists in peak form. |

Fantastic Four 200 Pollard Sinnott Owner: Michael Kenyon Comment posted on 9/12/2014 "JUMPIN' CATFISH" this page really has so much going for it. A personal favorite of mine. As if the top panel isn't enough, it's the bottom three panels which really blows me away. Maniacal Doom, consumed in his own power and pride, gloating with laughter as his helpless subjects become tossed about in Doom's man-made vortex. And beyond all that we witness a "lackey" torn by the dark revelation that his own family might very well be caught up in Doom's nightmarish invention. And while this poor soul is between fear and dread, Doctor Doom rants on behind him. I was once given the chance to purchase this amazing art. I foolishly passed on buying it. FF #200, along with the classic "Triumph & Torment", stand out as my favorite FF/ Doom. You're a good soul, buddy. Thanks for sharing this masterpiece and original comic art for the CAF community. Hats off to you and God Bless. |
