Owner: Nick - Barry - Matt - Hal - Namor Comment posted on 4/28/2024 Awesome DD cover with one if the coolest villians ever. Odd that cgc comics label this as a Ross Andru cover, but it definitely doesn't look like his work. Thanks for sharing. |

Thank-you Reggie for commenting and for sharing that information. I ordered a copy off of ebay to witness for myself Spidey streaking naked through a young women's bedroom (lol). I apreciate the insight! ![]() I still laugh to this day, some 48 years after first reading it. |

Amazing Spider-man 157 Andru 1963 (Peter lost his pants printing error) Spiderman vs Doc Ock Owner: Matthew Robinson Comment posted on 4/16/2024 Awesome page from a very beloved issue from my youth. Thanks so much for sharing. As every true Andru fan knows, this page features the naked Spider-Man, as the colors in the printed comic are flesh tone on his legs in that fourth panel, making Spidey look like he has no pants on. Andru will always be My Spider-Man artist! |

As my nine-year eyes finally reached the end of Amazing Spider-Man, I was fascinated by the dilemma Spidey had gotten himself into. How would he survive Dr. Ock severing his lifeline attached to the helicopter that the Good Dr. had commandeered? Oh, what a long 30 days before ASM 158 hit the stands and provided us with this lovely answer. A web glider. I think the combination of Andru and Esposito were at their prime together during these issues. Love it. Thanks for sharing. ![]() That should read end of ASM 157, of course, in my first sentence. |

Amazing Spider-Man #134 pg04 unfinished photocopy Owner: kelly b Comment posted on 9/28/2023 This Xerox is neat because it has a little note in the left upper margin from Dave to Frank Giacoia that I translate as best I can as "Frank: I guess we'll just have to keep inking this shot until we get it right! 3 months. Dave" Dave was referencing having inked this scene before in his note to Frank. He and Frank drew the same scene three months earlier in ASM 131. The scene would appear again in ASM 157, with inks by Esposito and Hunt, as Dr. Ock recounts his escape from a nuclear explosion. |

Amazing Spider-Man #134 pg01 unfinished photocopy Owner: kelly b Comment posted on 9/26/2023 If you look at the published Splash page in ASM 134, the art actually extends further down the page than this photo copy taken during the production process. If you look closely at the original art, you can perceive where the additional art was added. It's almost like Ross got the dimensions wrong and the gang had to correct it. We would have never known this if not for these Xeroxes. Thanks for sharing! |

Amazing Spider-Man 134 pg05 unfinished photocopy Owner: kelly b Comment posted on 9/25/2023 The finished page has Flash responding to Liz Allen on that fourth panel as shown here. But it was MJ who made the statement that Flash appeared to respond to, so it seems to be a mistake. But if you look close at this Xerox, you will notice a word balloon over Liz in pencil. Liz's dialogue was cut from the finished product, but not Flash's response to it. Thus a mistake was born. Thanks for sharing! |

Amazing Spider-Man #134 pg 06 unfinished photocopy Owner: kelly b Comment posted on 9/21/2023 Love this unique look into the art of the Amazing Spider-Man team. Dave Hunt earned his money on this issue and I have often thought was the unsung hero of the team. You can also compare Ross's pencils to the finished page to see the efforts of Frank Giacoia. Here, notice Ross had little spiders on the henchmen, but Frank must have not liked them and inked over them, lol. Good stuff. |

ADVENTURE COMICS #476 Owner: Frank Giella Comment posted on 9/5/2023 Great cover. I didn't look at much Andru art after he left Amazing Spider-Man, but I really enjoy his DC work during this time period as well. |

AS 134 pg14 unfinished photocopy Owner: kelly b Comment posted on 8/28/2023 The cool thing here is that Ross originally planned to have the henchmen have little spiders on their masks. Frank Giacoia must have thought better of it, lol. These Xeroxes really show the delination of the art chores between Frank and Dave Hunt. |

Amazing Spider-Man #130 page 10 - Ross Andru (Historic page, the introduction of the Spider-Mobile!!!!) Owner: Ivan R Comment posted on 5/17/2023 Oh, I know I have looked at this page before, just surprised I have never left a comment. Of his regular inkers, I enjoyed Frank's work the best over Andru's pencils. I missed this issue off the stands and got it from the "annoying" kid back in school. Awesome you have back to back pages. |

Amazing Spider-Man Annual #10 pg. 38 Owner: Eldon M Comment posted on 5/16/2023 Nice page. There is something going on with that first panel. If you look at the published issue, the panel is reversed, with Spidey on the right side and the Fly on the left. It also has dialogue, where the original art board does not. Interesting. |

Al Milgrom - Marvel Team-Up #61 cover - Spider-Man & The Human Torch! Owner: ComicConnect.com -- Comic Marketplace & Auctioneer Comment posted on 2/20/2023 Any idea why Ross Andru signed this piece in pencil on the top of the page? That definitely looks like his signature. |

Amazing Spider-Man #159 pg 16, Ross Andru (p) // Mike Esposito (i) pub'd 1976 Owner: McSpidey Fan Comment posted on 12/5/2022 Lots to love here. I missed this issue off the racks, but a classmate gave it to me. Love the way Andru reached back to use the Hammerhead's turn-table office design from ASM 114 in this issue. Always enjoyed Dave Hunt's hidden (lol) credits. POW! indeed. |
