Creatures on the Loose 37 : Man-Wolf by George Perez & Fred Kida Owner: Max Fargo Comment posted on 11/13/2022 My older brother and I used to pick up random comics off the stands back in the day, and Creatures on the Loose 37 was one of those books I remember. I can't tell you much about the story today, but this page comes rushing back from my memory. I marvelled at how neat it was at the time. Just loved it. Thanks for sharing. |

The Cat #5, page 12 (1973) Owner: Steve Kro Comment posted on 10/31/2022 Great page, love the Mooney inks over Fradon's pencils. There was another page 12 for this unpublished story before this one, but Ramona decided it was excessive and it was to be omitted. You can see the page 13 under the penciled 12 on this art board. So cool that your page is signed by Jim, Ramona, and Linda Fite. |

Yes, you are right lol. ![]() I;ve done a lot of research on Ross Andru's real life references. Although not mentioned in any issues, this is the Gravesend Incinerator in South Brooklyn. Ross did a great job of recreating it in this issue and issue 180 as well. |

Amazing Spider-Man #151 Page 1 Production Art (Clone Saga) Owner: Alexander Meyer Comment posted on 10/20/2022 I like looking at this type of production art. I think that water was probably a little too blue for where that incinerator was located though, lol. |

Marvel Team-Up #84, page 8 Owner: Comicart Boston Comment posted on 10/12/2022 Yes, excellent page. I remember the inks standing out, even as a kid buying this off the stands. It was a little off-beat for sure, but many were to me. Thanks for sharing. |

Amazing Spider-Man #180 pg 22. Ross Andru (p) / Mike Esposito (i) pub'd 1978 Owner: McSpidey Fan Comment posted on 9/22/2022 Great conclusion to the Bart Hamilton saga and also comes full circle from the clone disposal storyline. My 12 year old brain also thought that Bart was tied up by Harry, but wow, was I surprised. I've done much research on Ross Andru's real life references used on his Amazing Spider-Man run. Here Ross sets the action at the Gravesend Incinerator, although it was never named here or in Issue 151 either. It's spot on, as usual. Thanks for sharing. |

Ross Andru - Amazing Spider-Man #147 pg 18 (1975) Vs. The Tarantula Owner: Duke Fleed aka #1 Groo Fan Comment posted on 9/6/2022 A tremendous example of story-telling by the Amazing Ross Andru (with help from Mr. Esposito). I too bought this issue through mail order back in the day. I loved the discourse between the two boys, as they watch the battle between Spidey and the Tarantula fold out before them. I've done a lot of research on Ross's real life references, even finding a photo of a bus with the Gordon's Gin sign on the side from near this time period. The man took his art to the next level. Thanks for sharing. |

Spider-Man 2099 & Spider-Man Owner: Carl’s Collection Comment posted on 9/1/2022 Oh the heck is Spider-Man 2099 thirty years old already? Time flies. I have always really loved the costume design on Spider-Man 2099. It's a really neat design. The perspective is enough to give you vertigo! All this from the original artist on the series. Great pick up. |

ROSS ANDRU, MIKE ESPOSITO, DAVE HUNT, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN # 159, page 26 Owner: Claudio D'Ubaldo Comment posted on 8/22/2022 Great page from the team of Andru and Esposito. I was just getting starting on my 33 year plus run on Amazing Spider-Man when this issue hit the stands. I love the way Ross copied the rotating restaurant design from ASM 114. |

Andru - Amazing Spider-Man #182 p.21 Owner: Francesco Bazzana Comment posted on 7/13/2022 Ross was great at placing NYC in his Amazing Spider-Man run. If you look at the sequence from ASM 182 featuring the two cops, Rocket Racer, and Spider-Man, Ross starts at the UN buildings, goes down the FDR Drive, then back up the FDR Drive, finally getting to the Queensboro Bridge. In this part of the story, Spidey swings by with the Empire State Building in the background as the cops go flying off the FDR Drive. Great page, thanks for sharing. |

Ross Andru, John Romita sr. Frank Giacoia Amazing Spider-man 151 Owner: Max Fargo Comment posted on 5/17/2022 Just an awesome page by my favorite Spider-Man artist. And to add, it's also inked by probably the All-Time greatest Spider-Man artist. Dave Hunt did the background inks on this issue, as he cleverly added his famous "XX" on the splash page of this issue. Hmmmm, did Frank work on this page? Regardless, just a great page, thanks for sharing it. |

Amazing Spider-man 148 page 03 Owner: Robert (Dr Bob) Reilly Comment posted on 2/14/2022 I can't believe I have never commented on this peice before. Lot's to love. If you look at photos of the Brooklyn Bridge, underneath, there is railing that looks exactly like what Ross drew here. The man went beyond the call of duty for realism. Years ago, I had emailed Larry Shell , who's name is in this panel. He said his friend Dave Hunt (who did the background inks on this book) put that in there as a "shout out" to him. Thought that was cool. Great page. |

The splash has the look of the times with the T-top muscle car and 70's fashions. Something tells me the writing was going to be old fashioned soap opera though. ![]() Hmmm, weren't the 70's old fashioned soap opera? LOL |

Iron Man #95 Cover (Jack Kirby) (1976) Owner: Daren Domina Comment posted on 12/13/2021 Great cover and a lot of hard work. I remember this period of time as a young IM collector as well. Since you added the story, was the vault stringing you along saying that he had this cover, when he/she really didn't? Or did you just assume the vault had it initially? |

Fantastic Four #145 page 7 (1974) SOLD Owner: REDEMAGNI CLAUDIO Comment posted on 9/5/2021 There's not a lot of Andru Fantastic Four pages running around. Of all the FF characters Ross drew, the Human Torch was probably the one he drew the most, seeing how he worked with Spider-Man so much. Nice example, thanks for sharing. |

Thor's swing takes his half of the circle and Spidey's acrobatic kick has Thor's back as it swings his half of the circle. Brilliant art team with the experience from ASM brought over to launch the new team up book. ![]() Love your take on the Thor/Spidey action, but Andru had not drawn ASM yet when this was published. He went from MTU to ASM. Mooney though, yes, loved his inks over Romita on ASM. |

What If? #15 page 32 Peter Parker as NOVA! Owner: Jay Stark Comment posted on 6/12/2021 I only recently discoved this issue of What If or had completely forgotten about it. This is awesome. The page could have been easily from Andru's run on ASM, especially being teamed with what I felt was the best inker (Giacoia) for his pencils during this period. |
