What a magnificent Sandman page! When you read it feels like a dream...

Beyond cool!  I loved Cloak and Dagger back when this came out.  What a composition, and Leonardi inking his own image really appeals!

I always thought the inks of Akin and Garvey were wonderful. This page is a fantastic example

In the end, this original Creepy cover image is still my favorite version.  Perhaps the final painting is the most Frazetta-esque, but the original's creative instinct and outpouring captivates my imagination more.

One of the most wry aspects of From Hell is Moore's observations and commentary on modern life conveyed in Gull's alarmed and disgusted reactions to his visions.   It's humorous that these horrors can't compare with the reality of his own. 

And this Uncle Creepy is a full size inside front cover illo isn't it!? One of the best!

Benno I have such love for these masthead illustrations Bernie did in those Warren magazines. In my opinion much of Wrightson's very best work was done in those mags around 1974, and this gem is a perfect example. All the great Warren stories, spot illustrations, and inside covers he did there were just very special.
