This definately brings back memories, Eric! I remember going to that same comic book store, "Ogleo", week after week and I would always look at this piece. I would see Art Adams and Mike Mignola showing each other their work. And I think you were behind the counter a few times too, Eric. I used to think you were a part of that store because you were there a lot! I always thought Rick Leonardi drew the best Colossus ever. Maybe it's because of this piece. If I remember correctly, This double page cover was framed nicely with a black mat and glass frame. And at a certain point, the original art fell off behind the mat and was out of place for the longest time. I remember thinking to myself, Colossus is heavy, that's why the right side of the page tilted lover behind the frame. :) I'm glad it's in your hands, Eric. Great Artist, Great cover, and definately great memories.

I inked this page! This was published was while back when there was a cartoon for Avengers United. It was a series that lasted until issue #7 and it got cancelled.

The artist Briz did a lot of work for Wizard Magazine. A while back, Wizard use to have a monthly pull-out calenders and Briz would draw up the whole calander month and draw little characters in each day of the month. Aside form the Calenders, he also drew spot images in various issues of Wizard Magazine. I haven't seen his work anywhere else besides Wizard Magazine.

Eric, you much have all the major pieces that Art Adams ever drew! :) I rememeber looking at this pieceyears before I even knew who Art Adams was. It was something that I remember very much. Not so much the monsters that's all over the page. But because of the character that's shoting the gun. The way Art Adams drew all the contours with that characters face was amazing to me. That and they way the sparks were drawn. Those cool looking electric sparks that only Art Adams can pull off!

Can't believe you owned this. I use to go to a comic book store that had this cover stuck to the windows. So people walking by could see it. Everyweek, when I use to go to that store, I saw this cover. It's great to see it in black and white.
