Snap! I actually contacted the guy but he had no interest in posting outside the U.S. (even Canada was a no-no) so I basically gave up. Anyways congrats on this amazing piece of work and you are correct, the colouring on this comic was amongst the worst I've ever seen (which is saying something!). It looks like they gave a toddler a box of fluorescent markers and told them to go nuts....

Thanks for the offer, but it's really not so bad in the flesh. You'd only notice the crease in artificial light.

Cheers Davide, it's a real pity about the crease on the board, but, if this was in perfect condition it may never have ended up in our collection. So every cloud has a silver lining...! (I do intend getting it restored at some point and have even been in contact with Simon about it)

I don't think you could ask for a better Bolland page than this...Dark Judges, Dredd, Hershey, Anderson, Joker, Tharg and the artist himself. Great to know that there's other great 2000AD pages residing in sunny Dublin!

While on a 4 day trip to New York fom Ireland, I spent a few hours walking around Brooklyn, trying to find your gallery in order to see pieces like ths (my favourite from your excellent collection) a year or two back. But my girlfriend got freaked after a while and I had to give up.... I since found out, via google maps, that I was about 100 yards from your location. :(

My brother actually memorized the windmill panel from this page and painted it for an art exam about 20 yrs ago (I copied the 'Bad Dream House'!). Such a great page. I've actually seen this original piece and it is easily one of the most spectacular pages from the entire series. Congrats, great to see it in a fan's collection!

What's the story with these? The colouring on these pages is much better, for the most part, then the computer stuff actual book. I wish they had have kept it like this..

This is a fantastic illustration, Toppi was an amazing artist and surely an influence on the Baron Storey's and Bill Sienkiewicz's of the world.

The inevitable happened and I received a FedEx bill in the door this morning (so much for getting away with it!)..... For the sum of �222 ($290), I almost feel lucky in comparision to yourself, Dave. It's still a bit of a sting to start the New Year off with, though..

Hi David, firstly amazing page! One of the best, I too have had had this experience buying from Heritage, I'm currently waiting for them to ship a Slaine Page to me (in Ireland) from the same auction. I'm unsure of what to do....maybe if I go with UPS I won't get charged as much as FedEx. The last Slaine page I got (http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=932743&GSub=135095) was hit with an astronomical charge about , really took the good out of the whole thing. It would have been cheaper to go to Texas for the weekend
