Mr. Miracle's pose is reminiscent of this painting I studied in college where the subject was in a similar pose but was tied to a wooden post and riddled with arrows. I forget the name of the piece but I'm sure you know. I thought a character like Green Arrow would have been perfect to replace the subject in the painting.
