It certainly is. Jim has drawn TMNT comics and those in turn were partly influenced by Daredevil. Guess with this request, things have come full circle, lol.

Congratulations on a stunning piece. I used to look forward to Alcala's Slice of Life every week as well as his other title, Bing, Bam, Bung on Funny Komiks. This brings back good childhood memories. But now that I'm older, I can also appreciate the thought that went into such an intricate illustration, and the fact that Larry had to come up with a new piece each week. He deserves being hailed as a National Artist!

Thanks! I brought up the DD Red piece when I had Lee sign my Starman Secret Files, and his face lit up when he started talking about it. Conversely, the Weeks DD Red remains one of my favorites.

I saw it on his table at the NYCC. This piece is even lovelier in person! I was prepared to buy it from Declav but it was a pre-show commission for someone else. I had a feeling it would turn up at CAF sometime. : )

Thanks! I wanted Sam to draw him on red paper, but the one he found was not the same type of red I use. If he ever attends a NY con again, that's when I'll ask him.
