It certainly is. Jim has drawn TMNT comics and those in turn were partly influenced by Daredevil. Guess with this request, things have come full circle, lol.
Agreed on both book and the artist. Starman needs to be a TV series.
I don't know which inker is a great fit for Nino's pencils, but I'm open to suggestions.
Joe should've been asked to do a Spectre cover during Ostrander and Mandrake's run. This is great!
Congratulations on a stunning piece. I used to look forward to Alcala's Slice of Life every week as well as his other title, Bing, Bam, Bung on Funny Komiks. This brings back good childhood memories. But now that I'm older, I can also appreciate the thought that went into such an intricate illustration, and the fact that Larry had to come up with a new piece each week. He deserves being hailed as a National Artist!
Stunning! Thanks for sharing, otherwise, I would never have known the movie poster was based on Bill's design.
Amazing piece! Have him draw the Cumberbatch version when the movie comes out!
Beautiful recreation! Hempel is an inspired choice. Congrats!
Nice piece by Toby (who wasn't even on the guest list). Congrats!
Might be my favorite page of this issue. Congrats on getting the whole issue and a pleasure to talk to you at Special Edition.
One the best Batman artists ever tackles Marvel's Dark Knight? Amazing score! Congrats!
Clever concept! You could cross this idea with your Green Lantern theme.
Somebody get Chris a one-way ticket to New York! I've been waiting for this guy to show up at a NY con!
Wow, that's like LeBron and Wade playing together! Oops, I mean Magic and Bird! : )
Thanks for all the kind comments! Templesmith's cool, macabre style may not be for most superhero characters, but it definitely lends itself to Bats!
Dude, this is one of the best Bernanrd Chang pieces I've seen! Congrats!
The NYC setting makes this great! I've never seen a JP Leon con commission this intricately detailed. Congrats!
Amazing version of DD's radar sense! He should do a "Vertigo" version w/DD.
Three words: A-Ma-Zing!
This reminds me of my picture in my high school yearbook. Thanks for bringing back good memories, Ted!
Nice piece, Ted! Wish it were in color; it would be even more magnificent! Stephane's style reminds me of Hughes, Leonardi and a little Blevins. Congrats.
Thanks! Derek's got a nice, smooth, fluid style. He drew his own version of a Starman cover too (which I have yet to post though).
When I saw the email subject, I thought it was a page from an Ultimate Punisher comic. Nevertheless, it's ultimately awesome to behold. Now go get the cover to the Punisher/Wolverine TPB. : )
Thanks, Ray. Andy's never disappoints. I see you've posted the Zach Howard pieces online too.
And I remember that poster well. Great acquisition, Ted!
I didn't know you have a dog! And here I was wondering if Ororo's a cross-dresser and you've finally gone the deep end. What can I say? This Storm's adorable!
Thanks! I brought up the DD Red piece when I had Lee sign my Starman Secret Files, and his face lit up when he started talking about it. Conversely, the Weeks DD Red remains one of my favorites.
I saw it on his table at the NYCC. This piece is even lovelier in person! I was prepared to buy it from Declav but it was a pre-show commission for someone else. I had a feeling it would turn up at CAF sometime. : )
Isn't it cool? But I'm waiting for the artist who will use whiteout, white ink or white pencil to incorporate his radar sense in a sketch.

Thanks! I wanted Sam to draw him on red paper, but the one he found was not the same type of red I use. If he ever attends a NY con again, that's when I'll ask him.
Effin' fantastic! Love your Starman collection!
