Beautiful -- incredible design, for "only" a con sketch. The red of her scarf really makes the picture pop and adds to the characterization.

Enchanting -- which is appropriate, considering the subject's a sorceress. The finished version is probably my favorite from the Cygnus portfolio and this study has all the charm of the finished piece, in my opinion. Interesting how BWS changed her clothing -- maybe in this prelim the dress seemed too similar to his Pandora?

I'm just thankful for the internet -- that pieces like this can be seen by the public, instead of only by those who see it hanging on the owner's wall. Thank you very much for sharing this image. It's a stunning work of art --a "study" better than many finished pieces by other artists.

Stunning page -- the sort of page which makes artists everywhere despair at our inadequacies -- a prime example from Barry's Weapon X story and a prime example of his artwork. I really appreciate the two detail scans -- letting us see the line-work up-close, and letting us see, with the pencil residue, the blue pencil, the white paint and the crisp ink lines flowing from his Esterbrook Falcon Pen, a little of his methods.

Great zombie picture by Bernie. Only Bernie can make a rotting corpse seem so cool. Like you, I've had the oppertunity to hang out with Bernie at conventions, and he's always great company.
