MARVEL SUPERVILLAIN TEAM UP #15 Cover Rough Owner: Gordon Bartik Comment posted on 3/5/2018 Thank you Michael for your kind comments. Art is very much a process and after reading and enjoying comics as a boy during the 60's and 70's, a 'light bulb' moment occured to me that these wonderful pages of exciting imagery that took me to other worlds, had to be created at some point, in some form. Access to original American comic art in Australia was almost non existent in the late 70's but I was eventually able to source some early dealers to set me on this path. Though the collection has ebbed, flowed and shrunk over the years, I still enjoy all aspects of the comic book visual process. |

Strange Tales #129 p. 3 (Feb 1965) Owner: John Sisson Comment posted on 2/15/2018 Wonderful Ditko John. The bottom two panels are clearly superb. Though in Marvel History, Steve Ditko's Spiderman work is highly prized and well discussed, his work on Dr Strange is quite beautiful and for the most part at least as good and often of a higher level as he builds esoteric visual stories that take Lee's and Thomas' verbal structure to extraordinary places. |

Stunning page, Gordan. Nice to have something look this good and mean so much. Congrats! ![]() Thanks Glen. Interestingly, even though I absolutely loved the story it took me a long time to fully appreciate Don Heck's apparent scratchy delineation, beautifully solidified by Wally Wood's skilful inking; I see it through an older and more mature set of eyes. |
