We run down all the popular artworks posted to CAF between September 4-10, 2023, and also review highlights from sales reported from original Comic Art Dealers and Auction Houses for the same periods.
I've selected 10 auction lots this week from show sponsor Heritage Auctions upcoming Weekly Comic Art Auction that I've chosen to feature. There is this fantastic Batman: Black and White Pin-up by James Stokoe, a George Perez Avengers #171 page featuring Ultron, a page from issue #1 of Planetary by John Cassaday, an Archie Sunday strip by Bob Montana that is 70 years old next month, a Thor vs Silver Surfer page by Ciopel and Morales from The Mighty Thor #2, the variant cover to Before Watchmen: Rorschach #4 by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, a John Byrne Red Sonja convention sketch from 1976, this phenomenal Justice League of America #159 by Dillin and McLaughlin, a Peacemaker variant cover by Simone Di Meo, and lastly this Flash Gordon daily from 1965 by Dan Barry. As you can see, a little something for everyone's taste in this upcoming weekly Heritage auction!
