Athenaeum Comic Art 2026 Preview

Happy holidays to everyone! As a special treat, Athenaeum Comic Art wanted to share with you some new pieces that will be going up on the site in the next few weeks from Athenaeum artists Nate Powell, Lee Lai, Alison Bechdel, Emma Hunsinger, and Ryan Andrews. Also, we will make an official announcement later, but the rock star Molly Mendoza will be joining Athenaeum in the coming months.

If you would like a full preview of pieces that will be available/an early chance to buy them, just shoot me an e-mail. A number of folks get the best pieces because they proactively connect with me. There isn’t a real VIP group, it is just folks that are really engaged with the artists that they love.

Alison Bechdel

Alison Bechdel is a cartoonist whose poignant memoir Fun Home has achieved worldwide acclaim, multiple awards including a MacArthur Fellowship, and even inspired a hit Broadway musical. Prior to publishing Fun Home, Bechdel was most notable for her long running comic strip Dykes To Watch Out For, in which she popularized the famous "Bechdel test".
