Roger Allers, screenwriter and animator, best known for co-directing The Lion King has passed away at 76 years old. On behalf of the CAF community, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fans around the world.
Roger Allers [1949-2026] was an American film director, screenwriter, animator, storyboard artist, and playwright. He was best known for co-directing Disney Animation's The Lion King, the highest-grossing traditionally animated film of all time, and for writing the Broadway adaptation of the same name.
