Description

This artwork was a long time in coming. The Cartoon Art Museum and I were hoping that their marvellous Calvin and Hobbes exhibition would open after the COVID-19 pandemic passed. Alas, as time passed, our hopes in this regard began to fade. Unfortunately, the pandemic is still with us and it was decided not to reopen the exhibition. Nevertheless, the Museum has published a wonderful exhibition catalog (which also includes this piece).

Of all the artwork on display at the exhbition, this was, to me at least, the one that captured the spirit of the Calvin and Hobbes strip most. I am therefore so glad to be its steward.
