DescriptionA Bruce McCorkindale re-creation that mashes up Neal Adams art from BATMAN #227 and VAMPIRELLA #44. Mixed media on 13 X 20" pebble board. I thought this might be a good idea for a combination, and I think it turned out marvelously well!Bruce commented, "Neal did some incredibly delicate work (on Vampi especially) and I did my best to keep up!" One of Bruce's Facebook friends upon seeing the commission remarked, "Now I wanna see an actual book featuring those two characters!" My Facebook pal, Gustavo Medina asked, "How did you attain the cyan color effect on Batman? Is it all pencil?" To which Bruce replied, "It's a combo of the blue-green of the printout I made onto the bristol board, and then colored watercolor pencils I used for shading." Social/Sharing |
