Description

Frank Redondo does the interior art for the Robert Kanigher story "I Was Here Before!"

Rock is the token American in a British and Canadian raid on Normandy and becomes the lone survivor of his landing craft when enemy fire hits it. He gets ashore and saves other British and Canadian troops bottled up on the beach. Hitler believes this costly raid proves the Allies won't return to Normandy for a full-scale invasion. The end finds Rock back in Normandy more than a year later for D-Day. An officer tells him that they are applying lessons learned from the "test-tube invasion" raid. Rock leads Easy Company onto Omaha Beach.
