Description

This un-inked pencil cover with two surgeons and a nurse about to vivisect Swamp Thing was likely rejected
by Comic-Code or DC editorial. The published version had Swamp Thing charging the older villain.

Background....
I bought this pencil cover along with a ST page some other Yeates ST character design art long /l ong ago for less than a hundred.

In 2025, I dug out that unpublished art and showed it to Tom. He noted that this pencil cover was indeed the unlinked, unpublished version of Swamp Thing #21 - "Anatomy Lesson". written by Alan Moore.
Since it had increased in value greatly since I first bought it, we agreed to a special signing rate.
I told Tom that I paid Neal Adams $200 to sign a cover and he agreed that was fine.
All together, I paid him $400 for him to sign it and draw the Swampy head rRemarque.
