Description

There is something about Jack of Hearts which always appealed to me. Everything from the cool costume to his interesting origins and great name. His limited series was always a favorite of mine with some great writing by his co-creator Bill Mantlo and art by George Freeman. So for Father's Day my wife offered to get me an art commission. I already had an idea of who I wanted it from but I wanted it to be some what of a surprise, so I gave her five characters and let her pick one. I hoped she would pick the Jack of Hearts and to my surprise she did. I didn't know what I was getting and how it would look till I opened it up on Father's Day. Boy was I thrilled!!! Scott has always been a favorite of mine since his run on the Cosmic Powers series and I love anything he does, but he went far out and beyond on this one. Everything on this piece is drawn by hand in pencil and ink and he blessed it with his own style. This is now one of my favorite pieces in my collection and one of the best Fathers Day gifts I have ever gotten.
