DescriptionThis is the original artwork for page 5 of the graphic novel, I Am Coyote (Eclipse, 1984). Art by Marshall Rogers. Ink over pencil, and mixed media on sturdy Bristol board.All the panels except panel 1 exhibit some photo stats that are trimmed and pasted-on. The last panel exhibits the hand-applied optical texture, duotone. So much pure Rogers goodness in this sweet page, ranging from lush use of noiresque lighting to some spot-on facial work along with his mastery of a range of media. Good Rogers pages are hard to come by and this has so many hallmarks of this great artist in his best period. Huge poster-sized art at 14 1/2" x 21", with the artwork measuring 13 3/4" x 18"!
