Description

Technically my purchase of 2022 was an unexpected treat. I already got my first Frank Miller piece last year � a great page from Sin City. It was a "consolation prize" for not winning a Miller Daredevil page I had my eyes on. Featuring Ben Urich and DD in the Daily Bugle newsroom, it was about as good of a page as I could want for an early Miller example. Well, except for the price. And the lack of a certain Editor in Chief.

Fast-forward to December and what should show up in the Heritage weekly auction, but these two tip-in panels from an ASM annual. The issue features several panels of "newspaper photos" � all done on duo-shade board. And this one happens to feature the one and only JJJ. Oh, and some other minor Spidey-baddie.

I'm absolutely thrilled to have the early Miller box on my want list checked off. Now I just need to figure out how to frame this thing.
