Gonna get back into some Black Panther posts for a bit, after the Hairsine cover last week!

And my second Felipe Watanabe post in the last few weeks! Recently posted a Namor piece, and now got a BP. Both are different stylistically, with the Namor more simple (not sure that’s the right word but I think you get what I mean) and graphic, with less rendering. Here, BP in his Wakandan jungle element, with lots of killer detail, rendering, and tones. Both pieces equally effective!

Just check it out. BP like he’s waiting for you, the viewer, to approach, as he’s partly shadowed by the trees’ leaves. Got so much vegetation surrounding, and it’s clear Felipe didn’t dial things down anywhere. The branch at the top left, the particular shadowed trees, then that opening above T’Challa…with a panther head statue waterfall :) That last one’s a real nice touch and all lend to real nice depth. And it’s big at 11x17!
