DescriptionFanboy #6 p20 (1999) Steve Rude / Dick Giordano / Sergio AragonesI've wanted a Steve Rude page for some time now, but a nice Nexus page from an earlier issue runs much more than my budget. When I saw this page in auction some months back it really appealed to me with those lovely images of Diana, but I got outbid at that time and/or distracted when the lot closed. I was pleasantly surprised to see it up for sale on CAF and quickly jumped on it the day it appeared - thanks Ari! I was relieved when it finally arrived yesterday after a weeklong time period where the USPS tracking had it stuck in limbo not moving and not showing the location. We have a few beautiful Rude images of Wonder Woman inked by the ever-amazing Dick Giordano. I think that sixth panel close-up of Diana evokes Rude's style nicely and Giordano hand always yields a pretty woman. We also enjoy a couple full figure images of her. As an added bonus we get Sergio Aragones rendering Fanboy on the page. Very happy to have this one as a keeper. Social/Sharing |
