DescriptionTaken from the Hanna Barbera Jonny Quest series from 1964-1965.Here is a cel of Jonny Quest's father, Dr. Benton Quest. This was from episode 4, "Pursuit of the Po-Ho", which was a story by Doug Wildey and William Hamilton. The show aired October 9, 1964. What's the episode about? Dr. Quest has a friend that is captured by a deadly group of natives known as the Po-Ho. That takes the Quest team to the jungle to save him. It doesn't take long before Dr. Quest is captured and put with his friend in captivity. We learn that the Po-Ho plan to sacrifice them to their fire god, but thanks to Race they are able to get away. So I wasn't sure about this next thing I notices so I did a little research. Even now, I'm not 100% certain... but I believe that within this episode there is the scene of the Jungle Cat & the Crocodile that was used in the opening credits of the show. Within the show, Bandit’s barking from a set of loud-speakers causes the two animals to go into motion. It makes sense that they would use created scenes and this being just the 4th, it sure seems possible. Social/Sharing |
