DescriptionWhen Street Fighter II hit the arcades, it was an instant phenomenon that would spawn all sorts of competitors, like Mortal Kombat; however, it was the original Street Fighter that laid the foundation for the series with its own innovations within the fighting-game genre.Capcom intended to reuse this art for the NES release, but it was later cancelled due to Nintendo's restrictions on third party developers (an effort intended to curb the mass amounts of shovelware that sunk Atari).
