I will never tire of Wally Wood artwork. He was a genius and although my personal memories are focused more on his Marvel (as opposed to his EC) work and although by then, his style was more "economical", the quality of his artwork (especially his brushwork) was amongst the very best.

I was quite disappointed when he left the Daredevil title after only seven issues. In that short span of time, he had revived and indeed revolutionized that particular title and his redesign of DD's costume in DD #7 has stood to this very day.

I was therefore very intrigued by this piece because I did follow his Tower Comics books as well. It is unique inasmuch as it combines both Daredevil and Dynamo in a unique fashion. Rumored to have been a pitch for a cover for a crossover series (which, if it was the case, never materialized), it was ultimately published as the cover of an issue of the fanzine, Rocket's Blast Comicollector #56 (itself a combination of two famous fanzines) - without the DD logo, probably for copyright reasons although it is obviously Daredevil, and is clearly the case in the original artwork itself.

Many have speculated as to the possible interpretation of the cover but I will not venture there as it seems to me rather fruitless to do so. However, what is clear is that this is indeed a unique piece of artwork owing to (as mentioned) the combination of characters.
