Milton Caniff (1907-1988) was one of the grandmasters of American comics, and one of the pioneers in character-driven comic stories. His creations 'Terry and the Pirates' (1934-1946) and 'Steve Canyon' (1947-1988) are both landmarks in newspaper comics. |
