DescriptionRobert Williams was the founding artist of the Pop Surrealist movement, but long before his paintings graced album covers (Guns & Roses) and filled Chelsea galleries he was and will always remain one of the great Underground Comix masters and pioneers. One of the great contributors to the Underground's premiere anthologies Zap Comix (started by R. Crumb), this is the title page from his contribution to the 10th issue of Zap. Pen and ink on paper (10 x 14 inches - CM: 25.4 x 35.5). |
