What in the world!!
I am relatively new to the Comic Art hobby. Like many other collectors I transitioned into the art from collecting comics. Being a comic collector from the 80's and growing up during the McFarlane, Liefeld, & Lee era, it just made sense to start getting some of the art. I just wish I started buying it sooner!! I remember seeing the McFarlane Spider-Man's show up at Heritage in 2012 and thinking I wish I could get some of those. But alas they were too expensive. Little did I know how expensive they would continue to get, OUCH!!!
Thankfully I have met many great seasoned collectors on CAF who have not only helped advise me but have also helped me find some really cool art. They have regaled me with stories of treasures found on ebay in the late 90's and early 2000's. They have also tortured me with stories of buying the original art from the artists in the 80's! I am forever grateful to them for helping shepherd me along.
