Description

January 1974, The Frankenstein Monster #8, Page #23 Splash, John Buscema pencils/John Verpoorten inks, "My Name is...Dracula--", a classic Bronze Age splash - Frankenstein meets Dracula!;
The Frankenstein Monster battles Dracula but he is captured by a local village who blames him for releasing Dracula.

Historic splash, Nick! Big John only did six or seven issues featuring the frankenstein monster making this wonderful page quite rare! Great find.

Amazing cliffhanger final page, leaving the poor reader desperate for those two months to pass. Buscema's layout of the scene - the angle, the drama, the expression - is sublime, and Verpoorten's bold inks seem ideal for the light contrasts of a horror book. Utterly superb.
