Description

From Uncanny X-Men issue # 159 page 1. A few years ago, a recreation of this splash page was sold on Ebay for $250 by Oddysey Comics. Although the art was not marked, the auction description correctly identified it as a recreation. This is the original published art by Bill Sienkiewicz.

Excellent character placement on this splash by guest artist Sienkiewicz.Throw in those luscious Wiacek inks and Clairemont dialogue and simmer to boiling!! Splash of the day!!!! * * * *

Well this is a blast from the past. Based on Bill's character placement, use of foreshortening (love that outstretched hand) and general style at the time, this page (and the issue generally) makes me think of what if Neal Adams drew the X-Men. Great bronze age splash from a super-hot title at the time. Congratulations on an uncanny acquisition!
