Description

Steve Mannion is a master with the pencil and has a wry sense of humor. Even with a theme as dark as this one there is room for a laugh. Here we have Godzilla resting in his lair. Smoking jacket with a the Initial "G" is a nice touch. Hanging on the wall are the other "giant monsters of cinema". The Big G has always been the king of the hill when it came to giant movie monsters so taking out (closkwise from bottom left) Daimajin, Gamera, King Ghidrah, King Kong and Mecha-Godzilla was probably no big deal to him. I like the toothpick gag.....I think this is a nice variation, doing it in pencils....brings something different to the table other than humor alone....Bravo !
