Description

It's honestly tough to describe just how cool this piece of art is. The sheer power and intensity that Dale puts into his artwork is unrivaled. This cover was originally intended to be used as the cover to PITT #3, but Dale decided to go with the Zoyvod cover instead since it related more to the storyline. This piece then became the cover to issue #9 of the now gone Heroes Illustrated Magazine. Funny story...this artwork used to hang on the wall behind the counter at Bowe and Board, the comic book store I used to shop at while in high school. It's always been one of my most favorite pieces of art, but at the time, I obviously couldn't afford to buy such an incredible piece. Many years later, with Bowe and Board closed and this piece of art somewhere in the hands of a collector, it somehow made it ways back to me. Or did I make my way towards it? Anyway, it's strange how those things happen...and thankfully, this stunning work of art will never leave my possession.

OMG u grabbed this one on ebay ? it went for a hell load. I was bidding on it too. So i guess this gem is gone in the dark realm of "not for sale ever" ....

Nice score Frank! I love seeing these pieces pop up that bring to the surface the memories of the past and more importantly, the excitement of walking into Bowe and Board every Friday afternoon! Thanks for sharing.
