Description

Purchased from Gallery Nucleus in 2022 however the piece is dated 1996. This is from their 5 year anniversary show in 2009- so it's been in their possession for roughly 13 years.

I disliked the frameup so I took it out and discovered some information on the back of the art board written by Mike. I'm curious as to how the piece ended up in the gallery show as it seems unlikely this came directly from Mike (the info on the back is old.)

Anyway, regardless of the origins I absolutely love the piece and I purchased it at an absolutely great price. I don't foresee myself ever owning a Dringenberg Sandman page- so this is a great example of his work that will look amazing in a new frameup.

Will take better pictures at a later date, but attached is a cell phone pic of the full piece and a scan of (most) the used space of the painting.

Beautiful contrast! When you look at the flowers, it trains your eye to look at the figure and the black swan the same way to have a wholly different experience.
