Description

My third and final commission in this series of "Spidey's girlfriends" by Lucas Werneck is this disarmingly beautiful Gwen Stacy.

While I love MJ & Black Cat (and especially Lucas' versions of them), I have always had a soft spot for the ill-fated blonde. The perfect woman - smart, strongheaded and beautiful. Gwen had it all - until she didn't.

But no tragedy yet in this commission. It's optimistic, happy and soothing. A perfect snapshot of a perfect moment.

The colours are incredible. Even more than with the Black Cat, his colour marker and pencil work shines. A detail I asked for, was to show Peter's hand - and not the Spidey costume like with the rest.

Size is 11x17 and this was done in pencils, inks and colour markers. For anyone interested, Lucas is represented by Chiaroscuro Studios and does commissions for their online convention.

This will hit people differently depending if they've ever gone through the loss of their love or just still in love with their sweetheart.
