Description

Great splash featuring Kro and a gaggle of fellow Deviants from Eternals #3. Nice inks by John Verpoorten and Jack even sneaks in a little Kirby Krackle for good measure.

Thanks to longtime friend Greg MasterG for this page.

Interesting to note (to me anyway), that the comic was originally called "Return of the Gods" - no doubt inspired by Erich Von Daniken's "Chariots of the Gods?" Perhaps Marvel felt the name suggested a connection to DC's New Gods or maybe they just thought the Eternals was a stronger name (I know I do).

So stunning! They are so grotesque and yet it is so imaginative in Kirby style! There was no chance newsprint was going to capture all the granduer of this artwork.
