Description

Doug had become the GL penciller since Series 4 Issues 43 to 67 (except issues 49 by Ed Benes & 63 by Ed Benes and Ardian Syaf) and I had been patiently waiting for a Hal pin up splash page from him. The opportunity came at the 50th issue. Although Hal had managed to outrun Nekron's death spell, he was struck by Black Lantern Spectre and briefly became a Black Lantern himself in this anniversary issue. This was the only Black Lantern Hal Jordan splash page during Blackest Night and also Doug's first solo pin up of Hal. Doug's art representative was not willing to ship overseas and I almost missed the chance to grab this modern day classic. Special thanks to Constance for helping me secure this masterpiece.
