Description

This, alas, is a somewhat sad piece--the final Scarecrow image. We were working on a story arc that took Dr. Syn to America, where he had an adventure with Ben Franklin--and the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow!--when the magazine was suddenly cancelled by the Disney management. There was only time (and space) to do a pin-up for the final issue, already in the pipeline. This one is watercolor and gouache on Illustration board.
