Carl Barks Cover for Donald Duck Album FC 1140

Only 15-20 finished and inked Barks original covers are still in existence today. The rest were routinely destroyed at the printing plant. This surviving cover is from Donald Duck Album, Four Color 1140, published in 1960. Like in all Barks gag covers, he strived for composition and simplicity. All the details are systematic parts of the compositional whole - the nephews´ eyes, for instance. Again, I am sorry for some lightning issues in the photo.
For some reason, the German and Scandinavian Disney weeklies used this cover both in 1961 and 1962. See the additional scans.
