Amy Brown - Yard of Art - Fairies (Gothic prints)

This was a piece in part, a vision of the Mrs. My wife loves Fairies of all sorts from Tinkerbell to these little gothic versions. Wanting to practice the Yard of Art style (YOA), and having found this nice frame in the $10 range, I thought this would make a very nice gift for the wall where my personal preferences are not allowed to hang.

I stumbled across some of Amy Brown's work somewhere, then started looking on eBay to see what I could find. Low and behold, more fairies than I could have imagined done by this artist and in many styles. These are a combination of cards and post cards, reminding me of larger trading card art. But, consistent enough in size to make a YOA fairly simple to measure for.

As with most fantastical ideas, I don't necessarily believe in Fairies, but I don't really believe in Monsters either. Doens't prevent me from enjoying either. Other than crediting Amy, I wanted a title (saying) for the YOA, and found this quote:

"Hand in hand, with fairy grace. We will sing, and bless this place." - W.S.

It was a lot of work punching and placing all these characters for the Title and credit. Some of you may recognize this title, other's may not. On here, most probably won't care! But for me, this seemed liked a great verse from a timeless classic, and an appropriate saying to be proudly found in one's home.

Especially, if there really are little creatures known as fairies!!! :)
