Description

I've really been digging Tony Akins's art on the New 52 incarnation of DC's Wonder Woman these days, and I enjoyed the first few story arcs on Jack of Fables. So when I saw this page for sale on eBay for a great price, I decided it would make a nice addition to my collection.

While the desert setting is beautifully rendered, I think Akins's greater contribution to the storytelling here is how he conveys the attitudes and strong personalities of Jack and the bestacled Fable-hunter Priscilla Page. Furthermore, it's interesting how Akins is able to adapt his style to suit that of this comic's sister title, Fables, just as he adapts his work to account of Cliff Chiang's style in Wonder Woman.
