Description
Classic three-panel Nancy from New Year's Day, 1959. Why are Bushmiller drawings from the 50s and early 60s so scarce? Good question. The way he leads the eye to the gag is particularly strong in this one. Note how he uses the smallest details, such as the black bar in the upper left, so create a balanced composition.
