Jones, Casey - Black Canary!

I commissioned this one from Casey back in July of 2003 and then he promptly got a bunch of jobs from publishers, so it took a while to get to her - March of 2004. Casey was great though, he kept me in the loop the whole time, so I wouldn't hesitate to commission something else from him. I gave Casey a choice between three very different characters, but no big surprise to me that he chose to draw Dinah since he'd recently finished up a run on Birds of Prey for DC. Much as I adore her original fishnets, I really love this Gary Frank designed outfit for her so this is what I specified when I gave her as an option. She took many months to come in, but I think she was well worth the wait! Thanks again Casey! Pencil on 11x17 Bristol.
