Wyman, M.C. - Hawkgirl!

I have very vague memories of MC's artwork in various Marvel titles during the 1990s, but when he started showing up on ebay through Scott with catskillcomics.com, I really took notice. It didn't take me long at all to get hooked on his great pinups, so I decided I'd save up some $$ to get a commission. I started tossing change into a cup I kept in my desk at work, and in surprisingly short order I had more than enough. I was trying to decide who I wanted him to draw (I've already seen some beautiful sketches he's done of my perennial faves, Power Girl and Black Widow, so they were good candidates) when Scott posted a few new pieces MC had done, among them this gorgeous Hawkgirl. I thought she was perfect and I had to have her! I'd read Scott's message about the art a couple of minutes after he'd posted it, I shot him off an email with a couple of quick questions, I PayPal'd him the money, and MC had the art signed and packed up (Scott was talking to him on the phone during one of our email exchanges) - I would say the entirety of the transaction took *maybe* half an hour. I'm sure we set some kind of speed record with how quickly everything transpired! She's even prettier in person. Very delighted with this impulse buy, and I do still plan to eventually commission something from MC at some point. Now I have two out of the three Hawkgirls (Shiera Hall, the original, by MC and Kendra Saunders, the current, by Buzz), I'm going to have to get someone else to draw the Shayera Thal Hawkwoman from the 1990s Hawkman series so I'll have a complete set!
