DescriptionTHE 'full figure' Daredevil piece I've been waiting for....a spectacular twice-up DPS and end-page from the landmark Man Without Fear (1993) mini-series-- the only interior page depicting Daredevil in costume. For me, a highly memorable image with DD in classic form with a throwback costume cameo for good measure. This historic collaboration of three legends-- writer Frank Miller, penciller John Romita Jr., and inker Al Williamson-- is one of my favorite DD pages and a poster-size display piece for my wall. This image has been used for The Man Without Fear TPD hardcover as well as T-shirts, art prints and posters. On a Romita Jr. documentary, the artist identifies this mini-series as the "turning point" of his career with this exact DPS featured prominently. TwoMorrow's Back Issue #21 profiled JRJR calling MWF "his masterpiece" working on his favorite character with his favorite writer (Miller) and inker (Williamson). Enjoy! Social/Sharing |

A true stunner from a wonderful series. If I remember correctly, also the only time in the whole book where the red suit shows up. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

In my opinion Daredevil: Man without fear was the best comic stories of the 1990's. 140 pages of pure storytelling, no costumes or wild page layouts building to this double page reveal of Daredevil in costume. it hard to imagine john did this during the Kirby on steroid era. Williamson inks, as always over John are masterful. Great piece. For JR/JR this is top shelf.

Only time will tell Federico! After all, it took all four issues of MWF before DD finally got his costume :-)

I talked with JrJr once about how this series, and working with Miller+Williamson essentially kept him from quitting comics. This is just epic work by John, and has to be a top 5 alltime Daredevil piece by any artist. major congrats for having this...
