Raptor from XTNCT (Judge Dredd Megazine)

Matt apologised for the poor quality of the sketch as he had been travelling and had had very little sleep, but I think it's brilliant. It captures the speedy little killing machine really well.

It was fascinating to watch Matt work. First he drew a pencil sketch, then inked over it. You can see the pencils underneath if you look closely

For those of you who don't know this character, or the story it is from, Raptor is part of a genetically modified army in the far future. He can move super fast and has been designed to be a brutal killing machine. Paul Cornwell, the author, decided to have him speak without vowels to show how quickly he talks. Hence XTNCT = EXTINCT - clever huh! He is actually quite a rascal really - despite being a nutcase -and was the standout character in this story back in the Megazine in 2004/5
