DescriptionAnother delightful Colin MacNeil page, with a quality VAWOOM to boot! The middle left panel looks odd because this is a view from a Judge's helmet picking up heat signatures of his targets. Love the robot in the bottom right panel too. Can't beat a good robot...I asked Colin to tell me how he produced one of these pages, and here's his answer: "The paper I use is called "Layout Paper" and I usually use it for sketching on, so liked the texture and feel of it for inking on. I pencil the pages on that paper too, then use a light box to transfer the main shapes over for inking on to more layout paper. I tend to keep tinkering with the image on the inked page, hence all the extra little bits of lines. I very rarely ever define the lines till the final ink. I like to try and keep some spontaneity in the drawing. I draw at about 180% of repro size, it gives that little bit more space to draw things. :)" A brilliant insight into a genuine genius, and Colin is a pleasure to deal with too. A lovely page by Colin. Incredible art - and i just love this newer style of his.
