Description

After spending the morning in Reisterstown, MD at Cards, Comics & Collectibles with my pal Marc Nathan, promoter of the Baltimore Comic-Con, I headed back towards Virginia, and popped into Laughing Ogre Comics in Fairfax, VA. Carolyn Belefski and Joe Carabeo were set up, selling their various and sundry comics and sketchbooks. I had missed Carolyn in Baltimore the year before when I went to get my copy of District Comics signed by her, finding only Joe manning her booth while she went on the Baltimore Comic-Con Yearbook autograph scavenger hunt! After getting her signature, I asked if she'd be up for a sketch, and she followed Steve Conley's zombie sketch with one of her own -- but this time, of her character Curls in zombie mode! Always entertaining when a creator co-opts their own work and wraps it into a theme we wouldn't normally expect!
